Texas heads to Fayetteville to face No. 20 Arkansas as Dailyn Swain and Tramon Mark lead the Longhorns into a huge SEC matchup.

The Texas Longhorns basketball team heads into one of the toughest road environments in the SEC on Wednesday night, traveling to Fayetteville to face No. 20 Arkansas in a matchup that could reshape the middle of the conference standings.

Texas arrives with momentum after knocking off rival Texas A&M 76-70, fueled by Tramon Mark’s 23-point performance.

Now the Longhorns face a much tougher challenge, an Arkansas team that has turned Bud Walton Arena into a nightmare for visiting teams.

The Razorbacks are a staggering 15-1 at home this season, using their high-octane offense to overwhelm opponents. Arkansas averages 89.8 points per game, one of the top scoring marks in the SEC, and routinely pushes the tempo to force teams into shootouts.

That style will test a Texas team that prefers balance.

The Longhorns average 84.3 points per game while relying on a defense that ranks among the better units in the conference.

Texas allows 75.5 points per game and holds opponents to 44.4 percent shooting, numbers that will be critical against an Arkansas team that thrives offensively.

One player Texas must slow down is Darius Acuff Jr., who has been scorching hot recently. The Razorbacks guard has averaged 26.5 points over the last 10 games, becoming the focal point of Arkansas’ offense.

Forward Trevon Brazile adds another layer of versatility for Arkansas, averaging 12.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.6 blocks per game while impacting both ends of the floor.

Texas counters with its own standout performer in Dailyn Swain, who leads the Longhorns with 17.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.

Swain’s ability to score inside and crash the glass gives Texas a physical presence that can match Arkansas’ athletic frontcourt.

Perimeter shooting could also play a decisive role. Arkansas averages 8.1 3-pointers per game, while Texas guard Jordan Pope has been heating up from long range, knocking down 1.8 3s per game over the last 10 contests.

Both teams enter the matchup in strong form, each posting a 7-3 record over their last 10 games.

But in Fayetteville, the environment often becomes the deciding factor.

For Texas, the challenge is clear ... survive the Razorbacks’ home-court storm and steal a critical SEC road win.
