The hype is building around the Texas Longhorns men's basketball team as head coach Sean Miller enters his second season with elite transfer portal and freshman classes.
As a result, the Horns are poised to be a top-10 team in the country in multiple iterations of this season's rankings, but of course, they're tasked with handling business to prove those projections correct in their pursuit of another trip to the Sweet 16 and beyond in the NCAA tournament.

Nov. 2 - Season-Opener
Texas begins the season with a trio of non-conference home games at the Moody Center against Chicago State, Gardner-Webb and Grambling State in early November.
Texas last faced Chicago State two years ago, defeating the Cougars 105-58.
Nov. 15 - San Antonio Showdown
The Longhorns match up with an in-state rival and former Big 12 foe, Baylor, which has solidified itself as a formidable basketball engine.
Expect a pretty split crowd in this neutral-site affair between two of the state's major brands.
Nov. 26 - vs. Georgetown
The Hoyas are not what they used to be, but the Longhorns still find themselves in a high-profile battle in San Diego that could be nationally-televised at the Rady Children's Invitational.
Dec. 1 - at Louisville
Days later, the Horns face another top college basketball program, but this time in a true road game against the Cardinals. It's part of the SEC/ACC Challenge and may be another that is broadcast nationally.
Later on Dec. 12, Texas plays Miami in a neutral site contest held in Houston. That will feel much more like a home game than anything otherwise.
Jan. 2 - SEC Opener
Texas will enjoy a home stretch before entering conference play against Florida in Austin.
Jan. 9 - at Ole Miss
The Longhorns meet former coach Chris Beard, but in Oxford. Still, rabid Texas fans could travel and make Beard's home-court feel less like an advantage.
Jan. 16 - vs. Oklahoma
Texas gets its first crack against the enemies from north of the Red River at the Moody Center. The Longhorns will face the Sooners in Norman on Feb. 20.
Jan. 30 - vs. Kentucky
National powerhouse Kentucky comes to town, led by top transfer addition Milan Momcilovic, one of the nation's best stretch bigs at Iowa State last season.
Mar. 6 - Regular-Season Finale
In their second meeting of the season, Texas will battle Texas A&M in the Lone Star Showdown in College Station. The first edition of the season series will happen on Feb. 16 or 17.
Mar. 10-14 - SEC Tournament
Last season, the Longhorns went 21-15 (9-9 SEC) overall and were bounced by Beard's Rebels, 76-66, in the first round.
Mar. 16 - Apr. 5 - NCAA Tournament
Texas rode out of the First Four thanks to physical big man Matas Vokietaitis, sparking a surprising run to the Sweet 16 as a No. 11 seed.
