Arch Manning secures the portal's top receiver, Cam Coleman, igniting a fearsome Longhorns offense and igniting championship dreams.

AUSTIN - After a long sweepstakes stretching over nine days, Texas has come out on top in landing the most coveted player in the Transfer Portal, Cam Coleman.

The wide receiver from Auburn was the No. 1 player in the portal, according to On3. Coleman chose the Longhorns over elite programs like Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Alabama.

Coleman started his portal journey last weekend in Austin for his official visit to Texas. He departed to College Station for his visit with the Aggies the next day, leading many to believe the Longhorns had lost him. Clearly that wasn't the case.

His last two visits were to Texas Tech and just recently, Alabama.

Coleman's commitment solidifies Texas' offense as one of the most talented units in the country. In his sophomore season at Auburn, he recorded over 700 receiving yards and five touchdowns on a dysfunctional Tigers offense.

Now, he's added to a WR room with a multitude of established veteran wideouts like Ryan Wingo and Emmett Mosley, and up and coming talents Kaliq Lockett and Jermaine Bishop.

Texas star quarterback Arch Manning now has a championship receiving core surrounding him, an exciting prospect for head coach Steve Sarkisian, and a scary sight for anyone going up against the Longhorns next season.

Manning's 2025 campaign got off to a rocky start, but he ended the season strong, looking like one of the better QBs in the country during the latter stages of the season. On multiple occasions Manning was let down by supporting cast, including drops from his receivers, and poor blocking from his offensive line.

With the transfer of Coleman, Sarkisian is building an arsenal for Texas - with Manning in charge.
