Trevor Goosby could reunite with Bijan Robinson in Atlanta. The massive offensive tackle is projected as a top-ten pick to solidify the Falcons' front and clear rushing lanes.
How loaded is the 2026 roster of your Texas Longhorns?
So loaded that NFL people are already salivating - again - over the prospects of an NFL Draft that is a year away.
This year, six Longhorns were drafted by NFL teams, which makes for three years in a row of at least that many Texas products getting taken.
Next year? The pipeline figures to keep flowing.
ESPN released an early 2027 mock draft that sees four Longhorns taken in the top half of the first round.
And three of the names are "glamour guys.''
QB Arch Manning as the No. overall pick to the Arizona Cardinals? Glamourous.
Wide receiver Cam Coleman as the No. 5 overall pick to the Las Vegas Raiders? Glamourous.
And let's get EDGE Colin Simmons in here, too, as the No. 11 overall pick mocked to the Washington Commanders. A pass-rusher in the NFL? Glamourous.
But in Austin and in the next stop in the NFL, somebody's got to do the dirty work. And when we scan this ESPN mock, and add it all up, we've got four Longhorns who could hear their name called early in the 2027 NFL Draft.
The four Texas players included in this first-round mock would be the most for a single team in the country.
And who is that dirty-work fourth guy?

OT Trevor Goosby - Round 1, Pick No. 6, Atlanta Falcons
Offensive tackle Trevor Goosby, slated to go right behind Coleman and ahead of Simmons to the Atlanta Falcons at the No. 6 slot ... where he would be hired to create rushing lanes for the former Longhorn star Bijan Robinson.
The last Texas offensive lineman to be drafted in the top 10 was Kelvin Banks Jr., who went No. 9 to the New Orleans Saints in 2025. Goosby is Banks' heir at left tackle and enters a pivotal year defending Manning's blindside.
If he excels, like he has much of the time he'd been in for Banks and last year as the full-time starter, then a big jump into the NFL could be in store as the first offensive lineman chosen in 2027.
The Falcons' projected thinking here?
"With the unexpected retirement of Kaleb McGary and Jawaan Taylor on a one-year deal, the Falcons will be searching for a long-term answer at right tackle," ESPN said. "At 6-foot-7 and 326 pounds, Goosby is a long-limbed prospect who still has plenty of room on his frame to add mass but has all the traits to be high-level starter at either tackle spot."
But first things first. Help do the dirty work for Manning now. Get paid to do the same for Bijan later.
