Texas women’s basketball meets UCLA in the Final Four as Rori Harmon and Madison Booker try to move the Longhorns one step from a long-awaited title.

Texas women’s basketball is back on one of the sport’s biggest stages, and this time the Longhorns look built to finish the job.

Forty years after the program’s last national championship, Texas heads into the Final Four with momentum, star power and the kind of form that makes a title run feel real.

The Longhorns have been dominant throughout the NCAA Tournament. Texas women’s basketball has rolled through the bracket with an average margin of victory of 35 points per game, turning what should be tense March matchups into statement performances.

That’s a big reason the Longhorns enter their showdown with UCLA looking every bit like a team ready for a championship moment.

Rori Harmon has brought the usual toughness and poise at point guard, setting the tone on both ends of the floor.

Madison Booker has continued to shine as one of the biggest stars in women’s college basketball, giving Texas a go-to scorer who can take over stretches of a game.

Together, they’ve helped make the Longhorns one of the most complete teams left in the field.

The challenge, of course, gets much tougher now. UCLA has the talent and depth to match Texas, and there’s a reason every remaining team in Phoenix arrived as a No. 1 seed.

This Final Four isn’t offering any easy path. UConn and South Carolina are looming on the other side, which says everything about the level of competition Texas is dealing with.

Still, there’s a strong case that the Longhorns are peaking at exactly the right time.

They’ve defended at a high level, controlled games early and never looked rattled.

If Texas can bring that same edge against UCLA, it’ll have a chance to move within one win of ending a four-decade wait and delivering a championship that would instantly become one of the biggest moments in program history.
