Longhorns star Anthony Hill Jr. bolsters an already elite defense in the latest NFL mock draft.

The college football season has ended, and the NFL Playoffs are soon to come to an end as well.

You know what that means.

The NFL Draft is right around the corner, and the Texas Longhorns have some guys that could make an immediate impact on their future NFL team.

One of the most important positions on the football field is linebacker, and NFL teams often target guys through the draft to develop at that spot. Luckily, the Longhorns have one of the better ones in college football in Anthony Hill Jr.

Pro Football Focus' Dalton Wasserman recently put together a mock draft now that the CFB is over, and he has the Denver Broncos taking Hill at No. 30 in the first round.

"Alex Singleton and Justin Strnad are both scheduled to become free agents this offseason, which could leave Denver searching for a linebacker to pair with Dre Greenlaw," Wasserman writes. "Anthony Hill Jr. offers an athletic option who could help usher in a new era at the position. Hill has earned run-defense grades of 80.1 and 79.7 over the past two seasons and showed significant improvement as a tackler in 2025, missing just three tackles all year."

The Broncos have one of, if not the best defense in the entire NFL, but they could be losing a couple of their best players.

If they do, Hill could step in and immediately make his presence felt on an elite defense.

The 20-year-old linebacker tallied 69 total tackles, four sacks, and seven tackles for loss this season. He played in just 10 games due to a broken bone in his hand against Georgia, so his stats don't exactly show the impact that he can make.

But his sophomore year stats absolutely do.

He was able to rack up a very impressive 113 tackles and eight sacks, and his 16.6 tackles for loss led the entire SEC. If he can even come close to that, NFL teams should be willing to use a first rounder on him.

Hill will be a valuable asset to whoever drafts him, and the Broncos could become an even scarier defense than they are now if they are the team that does so.
