The Longhorns were stun by Florida last week, and now comes Ole Miss, who can give Steve Sarkisian's team all sorts of problems.

The Texas Longhorns will welcome Ole Miss to Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday in a game that we feel is perhaps the most important one in the career of Arch Manning.

After the Longhorns' loss to the Florida Gators last week, there were calls for Arch to be benched, and even backup quarterback KJ Lacey to get some snaps.

So not all is well for Texas, and the Rebels present them with a host of challenges that could see the Longhorns fighting for their lives.

Holding a 5-1 record, with quarterback Trinidad Chambliss throwing for 1,676 yards, 14 TDs, and just four interceptions, the Longhorns defense is going to have its work cut out for it to slow down an Ole Miss offense that is averaging 37.5 points per game.

Alternatively, for Arch and the Texas offense, and sitting at 4-2 and coming off a loss, this Longhorns unit needs to find its form and fast.

The aftermath of the loss to Florida was as you would expect. Brutal.

And now comes Ole Miss after scoring a combined 83 points in their last two games, so this has all the makings of a genuinely tough test for Sarkisian's team.

Manning is clearly the storyline here, and for there to even be chatter about benching him tells us all we need to know about how the young quarterback is faring so far this year despite the Longhorns being 4-2.

The Rebels' defense has given up just 20 points in the last two games, so they are really honing in on their craft and are getting superb results.

Longhorns fans will hope that doesn't continue on Saturday, because if Manning and the offense struggle mightily again, then the aftermath isn't going to be pretty at all.

This feels like a huge game for the Longhorns and at home, they can't afford to lay another egg, otherwise changes could be coming thick and fast.
