Former Texas EDGE Ethan Burke is headed to Baltimore after signing with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent.

Former Texas Longhorns EDGE Ethan Burke is getting his NFL shot with one of the league’s best defensive franchises.

After going undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft, Burke signed a free agent deal with the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday.

Now the former Westlake High standout will try to turn a strong college résumé into a roster spot in Baltimore.

Burke spent four seasons with Texas and became a steady part of the Longhorns’ defensive front. He finished his career with 114 tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks and six pass breakups.

His role grew throughout his time in Austin, and by the end of his career, he had become a dependable edge defender with size, effort and experience.

His 2025 season helped keep him on NFL radars. Burke improved across several categories and nearly set career highs in tackles, sacks and forced fumbles.

That late push likely helped make him a priority target once the draft ended.

Baltimore is an intriguing landing spot. The Ravens have a long history of developing defensive talent, especially players who arrive with toughness, versatility and something to prove.

Burke won’t be handed a role, but he’ll get a chance to compete in a system that values physical edge players.

He also wasn’t the only Texas player to land a post-draft opportunity. Mason Shipley, Matthew Caldwell, Travis Shaw, Jack Bouwmeester and Jaylon Guilbeau also signed free agent deals after the draft.

For Burke, the next step is simple: make noise in rookie workouts, carry that momentum into training camp and prove he can help on defense or special teams.

He may have gone undrafted, but his path to the NFL is officially open.
