Manning is widely expected to be one of the top prospects of next year's draft, and he won't be on the board for long.

Texas Longhorn quarterback Arch Manning is widely expected to be a top draft pick in 2027, as he has positioned himself to be one of the best college quarterbacks to come out of the class.

Yes, the 2026 draft has just concluded, but that hasn't stopped mock drafts for 2027 from already flying off the shelves.

For Manning, while he initially struggled at Texas, last season, little green shoots were seen from the young quarterback.

Manning threw 26 TDS and just 7 interceptions, while rushing for 399 yards and 10TDs as his dual-threat ability was often on show.

There are still several NFL teams that could do with a franchise quarterback in 2027, and many think those teams will once again be in place to take one.

But where could Manning go in the 2027 NFL Draft?

For ESPN's Jordan Reid, he has Arch going No. 1 to the Arizona Cardinals.

"Pairing Manning with Jeremiyah Love would give the Cardinals two elite building blocks," Reid wrote. "Manning, at 6-foot-4, 219 pounds, is a sturdy dual-threat quarterback. He finished with 3,163 passing yards, 26 touchdown throws and seven interceptions in his first year as a starter while adding 10 rushing touchdowns.

"He has all the traits of a No. 1 pick -- he just needs to unlock the next stage of his development. Even after they drafted Carson Beck in the third round last week, QB is absolutely in play for the Cardinals if they have a high pick."

Having Love and Manning as a dynamic offensive duo could give the Cardinals a pairing similar to Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott when the pair were drafted in 2016.

Yes, there's a year difference, but Manning and Love could be Arizona's star duo for the next decade. A dual-threat quarterback and a stud running back give the Cardinals a superb baseline to work with.

In truth, this is all a projection, and if Arch struggles or doesn't play up to the standard people have for him, he could slip down the draft order.

But right now, Manning is poised to be at the pointy end of the discussion to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 draft.

And the Cardinals might just be his NFL home.
