Texas baseball finished a dramatic sweep of Oklahoma with a 5-4 walk-off win in 10 innings, its first series sweep of the Sooners since 2014.

Texas baseball keeps finding ways to win big games, and this weekend at UFCU Disch-Falk Field was another statement.

The No. 2 Longhorns completed a sweep of No. 8 Oklahoma on Saturday with a 5-4 victory in 10 innings, sealing Texas’ first series sweep over the Sooners in 12 years and adding another signature comeback to an already impressive 2026 season.

The Longhorns didn’t make it easy on themselves. Oklahoma built a 3-0 lead through the first three innings, putting early pressure on Texas to respond. That answer came quickly when Carson Tinney crushed a two-run homer into the YETI Yard, cutting the deficit and shifting the energy in the ballpark.

The blast, measured off the bat at 111 mph, was Tinney’s seventh home run of the year and gave Texas the jolt it needed.

From there, Texas chipped away. Ethan Mendoza delivered an RBI single in the seventh to bring the Longhorns within one run.

In the eighth, Tinney and Aiden Robbins opened the inning with back-to-back hits, and Adrian Rodriguez followed by driving in the tying run with a groundout. Just like that, the game was even again.

The real difference late was Texas’ bullpen.

Brett Crossland gave the Longhorns a huge lift, working a career-long 2.1 innings while striking out four. Haiden Leffew was even sharper at the finish, retiring all six batters he faced across the final two innings and punching out three to keep Oklahoma off the board and give Texas a chance to win it.

That chance came in the 10th. With the bases loaded and two outs, Casey Borba lined a single up the middle to bring home Adrian Rodriguez and end another thriller in Austin.

Texas has now posted five comeback wins this season, and this one carried extra weight. Sweeping a ranked rival, protecting home field and doing it in dramatic fashion only adds to the momentum.

Next up for the Longhorns is a Tuesday home matchup against Texas State.
