Texas football has sold out every 2026 home game at DKR, extending a five-year streak as Steve Sarkisian’s Longhorns enter a loaded season.
Texas football hasn’t played a snap yet, and Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium is already officially full.
The Longhorns have sold out their entire 2026 home schedule through Texas Athletics, marking the fifth consecutive season that DKR has reached capacity before opening kickoff.
With seven home games, a marquee visit from Ohio State and another season carrying College Football Playoff expectations, demand around Steve Sarkisian’s program isn’t slowing down.
It might actually be accelerating.
Texas opens its home schedule Sept. 5 against Texas State before welcoming Ohio State to Austin on Sept. 12 in one of the biggest games anywhere in college football this season. UTSA follows Sept. 19.
Then the SEC grind arrives.
Florida visits DKR on Oct. 17, followed by Ole Miss on Oct. 24 and Mississippi State on Halloween weekend. Texas closes its home regular season Nov. 21 against longtime rival Arkansas.
None of those games have standard tickets remaining through Texas Athletics.
Texas’ ticket allotment for the Red River Rivalry against Oklahoma on Oct. 10 at the Cotton Bowl is also sold out, meaning fans hoping to attend either the home slate or the showdown in Dallas will have to turn to the secondary market.
Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte credited Longhorn fans for creating the demand.
“Longhorn Nation continues to set the standard,” Del Conte said, adding that selling out the schedule before the season reflects the passion surrounding the program and the atmosphere created by more than 100,000 fans at DKR.
Students still have another route into the stadium. Returning and incoming UT students can purchase the Big Ticket package, though football seats must be claimed through the school’s mobile ticket process for each game.
The sellout becomes even more impressive when looking at what Texas faces beyond Austin.
The Longhorns also travel to Tennessee, Missouri, LSU and Texas A&M, giving Sarkisian’s team one of the nation’s most demanding paths.
In all, seven Texas opponents appear in the AFCA Coaches Preseason Top 25.
That means plenty of pressure, plenty of national television and very few easy Saturdays, but one thing is already guaranteed.
Whenever Texas comes running out of the tunnel at DKR in 2026, there won’t be many empty seats waiting for them.
