Texas Athletics has signed a 10-year deal with Huntington Bank that will reshape sponsorship across Longhorn sports, alumni engagement and fan experiences.

Texas Athletics just landed another massive long-term partner, and this one will be impossible for Longhorns fans to miss.

Huntington Bank has signed a 10-year sponsorship agreement with the University of Texas, becoming the official bank sponsor of Texas Athletics and the Texas Exes.

The deal stretches across every Longhorn sport and includes prominent branding, digital integration, fan experiences and new opportunities for student-athletes.

The most visible change will come at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

Gate 8 will be renamed Huntington Bank Gate, giving the company a permanent footprint at one of the most recognizable entrances in college football.

Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte called the deal a partnership built around shared values and statewide impact.

“We’re proud to welcome Huntington Bank into Longhorn Nation,” Del Conte said, adding that the investment will strengthen engagement with Texas fans and alumni.

And this isn’t just a football sponsorship.

Huntington will become the season presenting sponsor of Texas Volleyball, while also backing the official Texas Longhorns mobile app and the new Longhorn City Limits Speakeasy.

That gives the bank visibility across multiple sports and across the entire fan experience. There’s also an NIL component.

The agreement includes marketing integrations involving Texas student-athletes, creating additional opportunities for players to grow their personal brands and participate in business partnerships.

Major athletic departments aren’t just selling signage anymore. They’re building year-round commercial ecosystems around athletes, digital platforms, alumni networks and live events.

Texas is clearly leaning into that model.

The deal also connects Huntington with one of the largest alumni bases in the country through the Texas Exes, giving the bank another major audience beyond athletics.

Huntington already has ties to prominent Longhorns, including world No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler and NCAA women’s golf champion Farah O’Keefe.

The bigger picture is simple. Texas Athletics keeps expanding its commercial reach, and Huntington is betting heavily on the Longhorn brand as it grows its presence across the state.

Ten years is a long commitment. But when you’re attaching your name to Texas Athletics, the value is obvious.
