Longhorns cornerback Malik Muhammad is beginning to see his name mentioned quite often, leading to visits with some interesting teams.

Texas Longhorn's corner Malik Muhammad has seen his draft stock steadily climb since the NFL combine.

Mostly because the 6-0, 182-lb corner posted a 4.42 40-yard dash, which would have caught the interest of most NFL scouts.

With Muhammad coming off a good season with the Longhorns, which saw him post career highs in tackles for loss (2.5), sacks (1.0), and interceptions (2), he is beginning to be on the radars of NFL teams.

With the draft just over a month away, teams are now starting to organize their top-30 visits as they look to get to know more about potential prospects they might draft.

And it isn't a surprise to learn that Muhammad already has a list of teams interested.

As he spoke with NFL Draft on SI, Malik revealed that he has already had a couple of interviews with teams, but also has more lined up in the coming weeks.

"I had a formal interview at the NFL Combine with the Atlanta Falcons. I have a two-day visit with the Dallas Cowboys coming up," Muhammad said. "I’ve already met with the Washington Commanders and Carolina Panthers [virtually]. I’m actually scheduled to meet with the Panthers a second time.

"I met with the New Orleans Saints and Buffalo Bills. Those are off the top of my head."

The two-day meeting with the Cowboys is an interesting one.

With Dallas already addressing its corner concerns with Cobie Durant to add to a room with DaRon Bland and Shavon Revel Jr., the fact that Malik has a two-day visit suggests to us the Cowboys are really interested in Muhammad.

And looking at what he's produced in college, it's easy to see why Christian Parker woudl have an eye on Malik.

Armed with high football IQ and great instincts, not to mention superb closing speed (that 4.42 40-yard dash), plus his sound tackling, will make him a good asset for the Cowboys.

Plus, having played in the SEC, he's frequently gone up against top-quality opposition and fellow draft hopefuls.

NFL.com's Lance Zierlein currently has Muhammad as a Day 2 pick.

And the Cowboys, it appears, are very interested in Malik.
