Texas hosts Oregon in the Austin Super Regional, with the Longhorns chasing Omaha after blasting through regional play and the Ducks arriving red-hot tonight.
Texas Longhorns baseball is two wins from Omaha, and the next heavyweight test starts tonight in Austin.
The No. 6 national seed Longhorns host the No. 11 Oregon Ducks in the Austin Super Regional at UFCU Disch-Falk Field, with a College World Series berth waiting on the other side of this best-of-three fight.
Game 1 is set for Saturday, June 6, at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN.
Texas didn’t just survive the Austin Regional. It stomped through it. The Longhorns outscored Holy Cross, Tarleton State and UC Santa Barbara by a combined 41-7, opening with a 19-1 blowout before following it with a 16-2 hammering.
UC Santa Barbara finally made Texas sweat in the regional final, but the Horns still handled business with a 6-4 win to punch their ticket to the next round.
Now comes Oregon, and the Ducks aren’t exactly limping into town.
Oregon swept through the Eugene Regional with wins over Yale, Washington State and rival Oregon State. That last one carried extra bite, and it sent the Ducks into Austin with momentum, confidence and nothing to lose against a Texas team expected to protect its home field.

This series has everything Super Regional baseball should: two national seeds, a packed Austin crowd, Omaha pressure and a Texas team trying to turn a dominant regional run into something much bigger.
The Longhorns have looked like a buzzsaw. Oregon has looked dangerous. Now somebody’s season is about to get shoved to the edge.
