Coleman, after transferring from Auburn, could be set for a career year with the Longhorns.

Cam Coleman transferred from Auburn to Texas, and that move could pave the way for the receiver to be one of the top prospects of the upcoming draft class.

His two seasons at Auburn were productive, as Coleman posted a combined 1,306 yards and 13 TDs, and there is a thought that he could see his play improve out of sight.

Of course, this is just a projection, but with Arch Manning as his quarterback, there is every reason to think that Coleman could be one of the Longhorns' best weapons.

And if he is, his draft stock will skyrocket.

While the 2026 draft has just completed, there are already eyes on the 2027 class, in which Coleman is projected to be a top selection.

And for ESPN's Jordan Reid, in his 2027 mock draft, he has Coleman going at No. 5 to the Las Vegas Raiders.

"Transferring to Texas and pairing up with Manning could unlock even more production, as he's a sure-handed target with good hands," Reid wrote. "That would be ideal for the Raiders, who need a No. 1 wide receiver to help the development of this year's top pick, Fernando Mendoza."

With Coleman now coming to Texas, according to scouts, he'll give Manning an elite contested catch monster who has a big catch radius.

Set to be a vertical playmaker and a red zone threat, Coleman has all the tools to take his game to the next level in 2026 and has the quarterback and scheme to make it happen.

But for Reid to have Coleman as a top-five pick a year out from the draft tells us what sort of talent is coming to Texas' offense.

Pairing Coleman with Fernando Mendoza and that Raiders' offense led by Klint Kubiak, the rookie could feast early in his career, given the other talented weapons around him.

But for that to happen, Coleman has to play well in 2026. Do that, put up good numbers, and stay injury-free, and there's no reason to think he won't be one of the top receivers in the class.

And maybe being a top five pick is a mere formality.
