We know the Longhorns' offense is loaded, but when put up against the rest, where do they rank?
The Texas Longhorns under Steve Sarkisian and Arch Manning are set to be one of the teams sitting at the big dog table in 2026.
After a season in 2025 that saw Arch stumble initially, then find his feet and lead the Longhorns to a Citrus Bowl win over Michigan, it was seen as a vital step in Arch's development.
Now, as we look ahead to his second season as the starter for the Longhorns, expectations have risen.
But as we know, a quarterback is only as good as the players surrounding him, and for Manning, he's got quite a group to work with.
The offensive line has a couple of studs, and its pass-catchers, now highlighted by the recently transferred Cam Coleman, appear to be among the best in college football.
But if ranked against the best, where would Manning's supporting cast sit?
For CBS Sports' Blake Brockermeyer, in ranking the top 10 pass-catching units, Texas comes in at No. 3.
"Texas overhauled its receiving corps and made a major addition with transfer Cam Coleman," Brockermeyer wrote. " Ryan Wingo is another dynamic playmaker who produced more than 20 explosive plays and eclipsed 800 yards receiving last season. Emmett Mosley V is a polished route runner and dependable weapon in the intermediate passing game.
"Ryan Niblett remains one of the nation's premier return specialists and should also contribute offensively. Sterling Berkhalter, Kaliq Lockett and Daylan McCutcheon provide valuable depth and experience. At tight end, Michael Masunas leads an inexperienced group, with Spencer Shannon and Emaree Winston also expected to factor into the rotation."
Coleman easily highlights the group, and for college and draft experts, he is expected to have a big 2026 and will be a top draft pick in a year's time.
Wingo was more than serviceable last season, posting 834 yards and 7 TDs to lead all Longhorns, and now with Coleman in the frame, Manning will have a superb duo to attack defenses with.
Mosley was also productive (408 yards, 3 TDs), but many are unsure of what to expect from the tight ends group featuring Masunas.
Still, the power of the receiver room will be enough to carry this Longhorns offense forward under the guidance of Arch.
