Texas Football Recruiting: 4-Star WR Sets Official Visit Date cover image

Top-tier wideout Tre Moore schedules a pivotal June visit, aiming to boost Texas' already strong 2027 recruiting class.

The recruiting calendar never truly slows down in Austin, and this week brought another key development for the future of Texas football.

Four-star wide receiver Tre Moore has locked in his official visit to the Forty Acres for June 5-7, giving head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff a prime opportunity to make their pitch in person.

Moore, a standout from Pflugerville High School, is already one of the most talked-about prospects in the 2027 class.

According to 247Sports, he ranks as the No. 24 wide receiver nationally, the No. 22 overall player in Texas, and the No. 161 prospect in the country. Those numbers explain why programs like Alabama, Baylor, Arkansas, Arizona State, and Duke have all extended offers.

The buzz surrounding Moore intensified after a strong sophomore campaign in 2024. He recorded 38 receptions for 562 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 14 yards per catch. Whether stretching the field or working underneath routes, Moore proved he could produce consistently and keep defensive coordinators on their toes.

For Texas, landing Moore would add another explosive weapon to a 2027 recruiting class that is already gaining momentum. The Longhorns currently hold commitments from four-star receiver Easton Royal, edge rusher Cameron Hall, tight end JT Geraci, and linebacker Cade Haug.

Adding Moore to a group that already features Royal would give Texas two dynamic pass-catchers capable of elevating the offense for years to come.

When Moore arrives in Austin this summer, the focus will be clear: showcase the program’s development track record, offensive creativity, and big-stage opportunities in the SEC.

If Sarkisian and his staff can make a lasting impression, Tre Moore could become one of the cornerstone pieces of Texas football’s 2027 recruiting haul.
