Manning and his starting left tackle, Trevor Goosby, were honored after the Longhorns' big win over Ohio State.
Texas Longhorns stars Arch Manning and Trevor Goosby were named Co-Offensive Player of the Week and Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week by the SEC after No. 4 Texas dethroned top-ranked Ohio State on Saturday in Austin.
The Longhorns have now taken the top spot in both the AP and Coaches top-25 polls as they enter Week 3 undefeated.
Manning led a spirited fourth-quarter comeback over the Buckeyes - the third-largest such comeback against a No. 1 team this century - that saw him complete clutch, on-target passes and use his legs maturely to move the chains and save time on the clock.
Each of Texas' final three touchdowns drives were at least 12 plays and 75 yards in length.
The senior quarterback was 23-of-37 passing for 195 yards and a touchdown. He added 24 crucial yards on the ground, as well, in between the Horns' running back duo of Hollywood Smothers (74 yards) and Raleek Brown (54 yards).
Manning's precision was seen most in the late rally. He was 13-of-18 for 125 yards through the air, targeting eight different receivers, on Texas' trio of touchdown drives. His touchdown pass came on the first of the three, a long throw timed perfectly with wide receiver Ryan Wingo.
The drives twice saw Manning convert gutsy fourth-down throws: a 10-yard strike on fourth-and-9 near midfield to tight end Emaree Winston and a fourth-and-6 conversion to Emmett Mosley for 12 yards on the next drive.
Manning shared the honor with Missouri quarterback Austin Simmons, who threw for 292 yards and three touchdown passes, the last of which sealed the Tigers' 38-21 win over Kansas with under three minutes remaining.
Goosby - who had dealt with a bone bruise in his knee just days before the season opener - posted a phenomenal 87.0 pass protection grade by PFF.
The senior left tackle allowed just one pressure on his 46 pass-block snaps.
Goosby is in his second season as the full-time starter protecting Manning's blind side.
He assumes the post left by Kelvin Banks Jr., who started for three seasons in Austin and was drafted in the top-10 of the 2025 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.
Banks had not enjoyed the same success against the Buckeyes that Goosby and the Longhorns did on Saturday.
Goosby said postgame that he texted Banks after the win.
"[Ohio State] got us the past two years. Actually, Kelvin Banks had texted me and congratulated me, and I was like, 'Hey, man, that was for you,'" Goosby said.
