The Red Raiders are 41-7 in conference play over the last two seasons.
LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's bid for a third straight regular-season championship in Big 12 softball begins March 12 as the Red Raiders enter Year 3 with head coach Gerry Glasco at the helm.
Tracy Sellers Field in Lubbock will host the Kansas Jayhawks in one of four home series in conference play. The rest of the conference slate, released Friday, sees Tech travel to four road series.
Texas Tech is 41-7 in conference play under Glasco since the beginning of 2025. The program has finished at the top of the league in each of the last two seasons, but holds only one Big 12 Championship Tournament trophy from Glasco's historic debut year.
Last year's squad fell to Arizona State in the title game, but still clawed its way through the NCAA tournament and appeared in its second consecutive Women's College World Series championship before losing to Texas for a second time.
Here's a look at the conference slate for the Red Raiders in 2027.
March 12-14 - vs. Kansas
March 19-21 - at Baylor
March 26-28 - vs. UCF
April 2-4 - at Iowa State
BYE weekend
April 16-18 - at Arizona
April 23-25 - vs. Houston
April 30-May 2 - at Oklahoma State
May 6-8 - vs. Arizona State
Glasco has not lost a conference series over his over eight years as a head coach, dating back to his first season at Louisiana in 2018.
In 2026, the Red Raiders broke many of the program records that were shattered the year prior.
The team's winningest season ever saw Tech compile a 61-10 record overall and smash several single-season offensive totals such as hits (679), runs (639), doubles (122) and home runs (145).
As was the case going into the last two seasons, the Red Raiders also enter 2027 with the No. 1-rated transfer portal class. The newcomers will join a lineup led by second baseman Mia Williams, who hit a program record 27 home runs last year, and lefty utility star Kaitlyn Terry, the team's lone first-team All-American in 2026.
Glasco will look to continue his dominance in Big 12 play with a new coaching staff by his side. Texas Tech announced the hiring of Jeff Cottrill and Shelby Pendley this offseason to form a trio of assistants that includes Glasco's daughter, Tara Archibald.
