The Lady Raiders dominate Baylor, boost NCAA Tournament resume with statement win.

If there were any doubts about Texas Tech’s place in the Big 12 title race, they were erased Wednesday night in Lubbock.

No. 20 Texas Tech delivered one of its most complete performances of the season, overwhelming No. 15 Baylor, 87-56, inside United Supermarkets Arena.

The win not only secured a season sweep of the Bears but also strengthened the Lady Raiders’ NCAA Tournament qualifications with another marquee victory.

Bailey Maupin and Snudda Collins set the tone early and never let up. Collins poured in 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting, marking her fifth 20-point outing of the year.

Maupin followed closely with 22 points, knocking down four 3-pointers and finishing 4-for-4 at the free-throw line.

Her ability to stretch the floor continues to be a difference-maker, as she now owns six 20-point performances this season.

Texas Tech shot a blistering 55.7 percent from the field and connected on eight shots from beyond the arc. The offensive efficiency was matched by relentless defense.

The Lady Raiders forced 21 turnovers, grabbed 12 steals and held Baylor to just 36.4 percent shooting overall. The Bears were ice cold from 3-point range, hitting only 3-of-17 attempts.

Sarengbe Sanogo provided critical interior balance with 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting while pulling down seven rebounds.

Gemma Núñez added 10 points of her own and led the team with four steals, showcasing Tech’s aggressive perimeter defense.

Off the bench, Sidney Love orchestrated the offense beautifully, handing out six assists and adding three steals.

The victory marks Texas Tech’s third win over a top-15 opponent this season and its fourth Quad 1 triumph - numbers that resonate strongly with the NCAA selection committee.

At 24-4 overall and 11-4 in Big 12 play, the Lady Raiders are tied for second in the conference standings and sit just one game behind first-place TCU.

Beyond the rankings and resume talk, this was a statement.

The 31-point margin represents the program’s largest win over a ranked opponent in more than two decades and the biggest victory over Baylor in 30 years.

Texas Tech now shifts its focus to Colorado on Saturday night, carrying momentum and plenty of confidence into another crucial Big 12 matchup.
