The Lady Raiders chase a historic Big 12 milestone as Maupin climbs record books and Arizona State visits Lubbock for a pivotal showdown.

No. 20 Texas Tech women’s basketball has more than Senior Day emotions riding into Sunday’s matchup with Arizona State - there’s real Big 12 history on the line.

The Lady Raiders (24-6, 11-6 Big 12) welcome the Sun Devils to United Supermarkets Arena at 2 p.m., looking to secure their highest conference win total in two decades.

A victory would give Texas Tech its most Big 12 wins since the mid-2000s and strengthen its case for a top-four league finish, something the program hasn’t achieved in more than a decade.

And momentum is on Tech’s side.

Sarengbe Sanogo is coming off a breakout performance at Kansas, stuffing the stat sheet with 16 points, six rebounds and five blocks.

Her rim protection, paired with Jalynn Bristow’s six-block night at Colorado, underscores why Texas Tech ranks ninth nationally in blocks per game (5.8).

Defense has become this team’s calling card, and it could be the difference against a balanced Arizona State squad.

Meanwhile, Maupin continues to etch her name into Lady Raider lore.

She now ranks fourth all-time in scoring with 1,777 career points and sits near the top in multiple three-point and free-throw categories. Her consistency has anchored Tech’s most successful season in years.

Arizona State (22-8, 9-8 Big 12) arrives with its own firepower. Gabby Elliott leads the Sun Devils at 16.4 points per game, while McKinna Brackens and Heloisa Carrera add scoring punch and rebounding strength.

ASU defends well, allowing just over 60 points per contest, setting up a clash of contrasting styles.

But Sunday belongs to the seniors.

With nine players honored postgame and the “Dark Mode” crowd expected to pack the arena in black, the Lady Raiders have a chance to send their veterans out with a defining statement ... one that could reshape the Big 12 standings and add another chapter to a season already flirting with history.
