Thirteen home matches anchor the Red Raiders' spring schedule, building momentum on familiar courts before the demanding Big 12 road trip.

Texas Tech men's tennis isn't tiptoeing into the spring; it's setting up shop at the McLeod Tennis Center and daring opponents to come.

The Red Raiders released their spring schedule and the headline is simple. Thirteen home matches and a home-heavy ramp-up designed to build momentum before the Big 12 road gauntlet hits.

The season opens January 16 in Lubbock against Southern Miss, and while Tech will take a quick trip to Colorado for a January 23 match at Denver, the Red Raiders immediately snap back home to face Oral Roberts on January 25.

From there, it's a full-on home stand ... Nebraska (Jan. 30), Wichita State (Jan. 31), then a February 7 doubleheader featuring New Mexico State and UTRGV, a busy day that should test depth, doubles chemistry, and lineup flexibility.

Tech keeps the home cooking going with Louisiana (Feb. 13) and New Mexico (Feb. 15) before the schedule turns into a suitcase season.

The Red Raiders hit the road for six straight, starting at Indiana (Feb. 20) and continuing at Georgia Tech (Feb. 22). March brings a California swing with UNCW (March 6) and UC Santa Barbara (March 7), then conference play begins with back-to-back Big 12 road tests at UCF (March 13) and TCU (March 15).

The Scarlet and Black finally return home to host Oklahoma State (March 21) and UTSA (March 22), then head back out to Utah for BYU (March 27) and Utah (March 29).

And if Tech wants to make its move late, the schedule sets the stage perfectly; the regular-season finish is a three-match home hammer with Arizona State (April 3), Arizona (April 5), and Baylor (April 9), the kind of closing stretch that can boost confidence, rankings, and postseason positioning if the Red Raiders protect their court.

The postseason path is already circled: the Big 12 Championships run April 16-20 in Orlando. Tech’s formula is clear: stack wins early at home, survive the road stretch, then come back to Lubbock with a chance to sharpen the blade before the league tournament.

If you like your spring sports loud, local, and loaded with chances to defend home court, this one's built for you.
