Texas Tech women's basketball is still undefeated, still swinging, and now it's got a new weekly badge to prove it.
After helping the Lady Raiders take down No. 15 Baylor and handle Jacksonville to improve to 14-0, senior Snudda Collins was named to the Big 12 Starting 5, her first weekly conference honor as a Lady Raider and the third weekly award of her career.
And honestly? It was overdue.
The headline moment came in Waco, where Tech didn't just beat Baylor, it snapped a narrative. Collins led the Lady Raiders in scoring with 21 points, and every single one of them came off the bench.
Even in foul trouble, even limited to 19 minutes, she turned the second half into her personal heater - 17 of her 21 after halftime. She went 6-for-12 from the floor and a cold-blooded 8-for-8 at the free-throw line, the kind of efficiency that breaks a ranked team's will.
That performance marked her 12th double-figure scoring game and her second 20-plus point outing of the season. But the win itself was the real thunder.
Tech's first victory over Baylor since 2011, snapping a 31-game Bears winning streak in the series. It was Tech's first win in Waco since Feb. 8, 2004. That's not a drought, that's an era.
Then came Jacksonville, and Collins didn't need fireworks to make an impact.
She posted nine points and grabbed five rebounds as Tech kept the unbeaten train rolling. The game also carried its own vibe, played in front of Tech's first sellout crowd since 2006, a reminder that winning brings believers out of hiding.
On the season, Collins is tied for the team lead at 14.6 points per game, shooting 45.9 percent overall and 42.9 percent from three. In other words, she's not just a spark plug; she's a weapon.
Texas Tech's next test comes Dec. 31 at United Supermarkets Arena against UCF, and with Collins playing like this, Tech isn't just protecting a record. The Lady Raiders are building a problem.
