Texas Tech’s 2026 Hall of Fame class is loaded with names that helped shape Red Raiders athletics across multiple eras.
From Mike Leach’s Air Raid offense to Olympic-level track and field, the newest group brings together eight standouts from six sports.
Football is represented by Joel Filani and Louis Vasquez, two key figures from Texas Tech’s explosive Leach years.
Filani became one of the program’s most dependable wide receivers from 2003-06, while Vasquez developed into a dominant offensive lineman and later carried that success into the NFL.
Rayford Young gives the class serious basketball flavor.
The former Texas Tech guard played from 1996-2000 and became a fan favorite because of his scoring ability, toughness and fearless approach. Decades later, his name still carries weight around the program.
Baseball standout Eric Gutierrez also earned his place among the school’s legends.
Gutierrez starred for the Red Raiders from 2013-16 and remains one of the most accomplished players in Texas Tech baseball history.
The class also highlights the depth of Texas Tech’s Olympic sports tradition.
Bradley Adkins, an Olympic high jumper, and Hannah Carson, one of the school’s premier throwers, will represent track and field. Both competed for the Red Raiders from 2013-16.
Soccer star Jaelene Hinkle joins the group after earning All-America honors twice during her career from 2011-14.
Softball is represented by Ashley Parker, a four-time All-Big 12 selection who played from 2004-07.
Texas Tech will formally induct the eight-member class Sept. 25 at the Overton Hotel and Conference Center in Lubbock.
The honorees will then take center stage again Sept. 26 when they’re recognized during the Red Raiders’ football game against Sam Houston State.
It’s a class built on star power, longevity and impact—and one that stretches far beyond the football field.
