The Red Raiders suffered their first loss of the season last week, and now here comes the 6-1 Wildcats looking to inflict more pain on Joey McGuire's team.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders will host the Arizona Wildcats at Galaxy Stadium on Saturday as Joey McGuire's team looks to bounce back after being humbled last week by Cincinnati, which handed them their first loss of the season.

We spoke of the Red Raiders guarding against complacency last week, and it appears they didn't listen, losing by 13.

But there is another game and the Wildcats will come Lubbock knowing that McGuire's team are going to be spitting fire for what happened last week.

Down 24-6 at halftime, it was an uphill battle that the Red Raiders just couldn't overcome, and the loss saw a lot of fans upset, given it was a game Texas Tech should have won.

But they can't sit in that loss, because if they do, one loss becomes two and so on, so McGuire will be guarding against this Red Raiders team from feeling sorry for themselves.

The Wildcats have won five in a row and have looked good doing it, hanging 39 points on Iowa State last week, while keeping them to just three points, and the week prior, scored 52 points in the win over West Virginia.

So, the Red Raiders have to guard against letting Arizona get comfortable on the road, because the Wildcats boast the weapons to make this an uncomfortable outing on Saturday.

Quarterback Noah Fifita is completing 74.2 percent of his passes, throwing for 18 TDs and just four interceptions, while running back Kendrick Reescano (303 yards, 5 TDs) and receiver Isaiah Mizell (493 yards, 5 TDs) can make this Red Raiders defense sweat.

But after the loss last week, Texas Tech will hopefully come out breathing fire and look to put up points in a hurry at home, as the Wildcats, at 6-1, could give them everything they can handle, so a fast start is key.

How a team responds after a loss is interesting, and how McGuire gets this team ready for this battle is going to be crucial.
