Jason Wachs and Jude Abbadessa have been named to the American Conference Weekly Honor Roll.

After a strong week on the diamond that concluded with a series victory over the Memphis Tigers, a pair of Tulane Green Wave baseball standouts have received some well-deserved recognition.

On Monday afternoon, Jason Wachs and Jude Abbadessa were named to the American Conference Weekly Honor Roll following their big contributions in the program's four total wins last week. The Green Wave has now seen five players receive weekly honors on the diamond this season -- Tanner Chun and Jack Frankel were both named to the Weekly Honor Roll on February 23rd, and Trey Cehajic was named the American Conference Pitcher of the Week on March 2nd.

Though he's just a sophomore, Wachs is playing like an upperclassman. He led the program offensively on the week with a .400 batting average, eight runs scored, four RBI, two doubles, one triple and one home run. Additionally, the Pembroke Pines, Florida native demonstrated great awareness at the plate by drawing seven walks.

So far this season, Wachs has led the team with an impressive .341 batting average, and he's come up huge in tight situations. The outfielder has started in all 25 games for the program, boasting a team-high 27 RBI and 10 doubles. He is also tied for the team lead in hits, with 31 in 91 at-bats.

This marks the second time in his Tulane career that Wachs has been named to the American Conference Weekly Honor Roll. He previously earned the recognition back in May 2025.

Meanwhile, Abbadessa's first time earning the honor comes after his sharpest two performances of the season. The right-handed pitcher made two appearances out of the bullpen on the week, earning the win in both contests.

Abbadessa pitched 4.0 innings in the Green Wave's win over the Northwestern State Demons, giving up just two hits with four strikeouts. He returned to the mound in the team's Sunday rubber-match game against Memphis. In that outing, he struck out two batters across 3.0 innings of work, giving up three hits and one run with two walks.

Though he struggled some at times in the first few weeks of the season, the UConn Huskies transfer appears to have settled into Uptown. His presence out of the pen could be huge for the Sluggerbirds moving forward.

Up next, Tulane will host the Grambling State Tigers in midweek action. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. From there, the team will spend the weekend in Birmingham taking on the UAB Blazers in its second American Conference series of the season.
