The Green Wave added a trio of defensive linemen on Tuesday, including a pair of three-star players.
When it rains, it pours.
The Tulane Green Wave has been scorching hot on the recruiting trail, with more commitments from student-athletes in the Class of 2027 being announced every day. The Green Wave started off strong, picking up 10 commitments in a single day earlier this month. While the team understandably hasn't been able to match taht number since then, the team has steadily been adding players by the day.
On Tuesday, Tulane earned commitments from three more prospects. This brings the total number of commits from the Class of 2027 to 19, with a steady balance of both offensive and defensive playmakers. Additionally, the class already has four three-star recruits -- two of which are the most recent players to announce their plans to roll with the Wave.
Here's a look at the three standouts who are the latest additions to the upcoming Class of 2027.
DE Hans Emery Julien
Julien is a three-star defensive end recruit out of Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee... and he's a massive get for the Olive Green and Sky Blue.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound lineman had a big junior year, finishing the season with 45 tackles, 10 tackles-for-loss and an impressive nine sacks. He chose Uptown over 16 other offers from strong programs, including the NC State Wolfpack, South Florida Bulls, Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and East Carolina Pirates.
DE Malik Ward
The Green Wave is wasting no time in securing down some big pieces on the defensive line with the addition of defensive end Malik Ward.
Ward, a standout for the Gautier High School Gators on the Mississippi Coast, ended his junior campaign with 45 tackles, three tackles-for-loss and two pass breakups. At 6-foot-5 and 223 pounds, he has quite the frame and athleticism to build on. He also held offers from the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, South Alabama Jaguars and Jackson State Tigers, among others.
DL Demetrius Terrell
This three-star defensive lineman is Tulane's second-highest rated recruit so far, and for good reason. Terrell put together an impressive junior year and garnered plenty of attention from strong programs across the nation due to his speed and strength off the line of scrimmage.
Terrell held 17 total offers, including a handful from Power Four programs. These include the Kentucky Wildcats, North Carolina Tar Heels, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
Tulane will look to keep its recruiting momentum rolling as the summer continues. With months remaining until these commitments can sign the dotted line, things can change... but there's plenty to be happy about right now in Uptown.
