The Tulane Green Wave baseball team is loaded with several stars receiving preseason All-Conference honors.

The Tulane Green Wave baseball team is looking to advance to a fourth straight American Conference Championship game and continue to dominate in conference play. They won back-to-back conference titles in 2023 and 2024, advancing to the NCAA tournament. As they look to continue momentum under head coach Jay Uhlman in his fifth season, the Green Wave will do so with several players that have been named to preseason All-Conference teams.

Tulane right-handed pitcher Trey Cehajic was recently named Preseason First Team All-Conference by Perfect Game. The senior righty transitioned to starting pitcher for the first time in his 2025 campaign and went 5-2 in 13 starts. He pitched a 4.89 ERA with 57 strikeouts to 28 walks in 57 innings pitched. He led the starting rotation for the Green Wave with his ERA and five wins. Cehajic transferred to Tulane from McLennan, where he helped lead his team to a 2021 JUCO World Series title and runner-up finish in 2022.

In addition to Cehajic, four more players were named to The Diamond Report’s American Preseason All-Conference Team. Two of them also earned Preseason American All-Conference honors: outfielder Jason Wachs and designated hitter/infielder Jason Wachs. Wachs and catcher Hugh Pinkey were both named to The Diamond Report’s first team, and Haas and utility man Nolan Nawrocki made second team.

Wachs led the team in batting average as a true freshman. He slashed .335/.457/.479 with a .936 OPS, 14 doubles, two triples, two home runs, and 25 RBIs. Pinkney slashed .271/.394/.380 with 26 runs, 35 hits, 8 doubles, 2 home runs, and 24 RBIs. He threw out nine runners attempting to steal bases in his 47 appearances with 40 starts.

Haas posted a .303/.384/.471 slash line .855 OPS, 35 21 doubles, a triple, four home runs, and 40 RBIs. He also recorded 19 walks, 11 hit-by-pitches, and four sacrifice flies. His doubles were good for second in the American. Nawrocki is in his first season at Tulane, transferring from South Carolina where he was limited by injuries in his 2025 campaign. He only played in 14 games with 12 starts, posting a hit in his first four games, and had 5 runs, 2 doubles, 1 home run, and 7 RBIs. He previously played for Clemson, where he posted a .264/.352/.400 slash line with 28 runs, 5 doubles, 4 home runs, and 24 RBIs in his 36 appearances with 34 starts in 2024.

All will look to make an impact for the Green Wave as they hit the ground running for their 2026 campaign, kicking off Feb. 13 on the road in a three-game series against Loyola Marymount.
