The Tulane Green Wave has officially announced its 2026 schedule -- and it's got some pretty big matchups on the list.
The Green Wave took to social media to announce the schedule in the most New Orleans way possible, with a Rouses Markets receipt showing how the team will be "makin' groceries" this coming season... and each opponent was paired with a fitting food item.
Tulane will open its season on the road against the defending ACC-Champion Duke Blue Devils on September 5th. While the game might not be as drama-filled with the departure of transfer quarterback Darian Mensah, it will certainly be a tough test for a fresh Green Wave squad.
Up next, the program hosts the South Alabama Jaguars on September 12th, then travels to face another Power Four opponent in the Kansas State Wildcats. That game against a Big 12 contender is set to kickoff on September 19th.
The final non-conference game of the season comes against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Head coach Will Hall will welcome his former team to Yulman Stadium on September 26th in the Hall of Fame game.
American Conference play begins on October 10th, as Tulane will make the long trip to New York to face the Army Black Knights. The team's conference home-opener features a rivalry matchup that's being played a bit earlier than it has been in years past; the Green Wave will welcome the Memphis Tigers to Uptown on Friday, October 16th.
The Green Wave does have the benefit of back-to-back home games after a tough road trip and a short week. The UTSA Roadrunners -- a team that gave Tulane a tough loss in 2025 -- will play in the Big Easy on October 24th. Another short week for the Green Wave looms on October 30th, with the team traveling to face the Charlotte 49ers for the second Friday game of the season.
Homecoming is scheduled for November 7th against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, then Tulane will take on the Rice Owls on the road on November 14th.
The final two games of the season will be incredibly tough for the Green Wave. The program will play its final home game of the regular season on November 21st against the North Texas Mean Green. The last time those two programs met was in the 2025 American Conference Championship, with Tulane ultimately claiming the title. The Green Wave's final regular season game comes on the road; the team travels south to take on the South Florida Bulls, another team that was in the mix for the American title in 2025. That game will either be on Friday, November 27th, or Saturday, November 28th.
The American Conference Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday, December 5th.
