The Green Wave will look to put together a memorable season behind plenty of new faces.
Tulane Green Wave men's basketball is looking for a breakthrough 2026-27 campaign, and anticipation for the team is building with roughly one month to go before the regular season begins.
The program went 18-15 overall last year with an 8-10 mark in conference play. Following the rollercoaster of a season, a handful of players entered the transfer portal, including leading scorer and all-around top player Rowan Brumbaugh. However, Tulane cleaned up nicely with its own strong portal haul, and lots of fresh faces will be looking to take Uptown by storm.
On Wednesday, the Green Wave officially announced its American Conference slate. Regular season league action begins on December 30th and concludes on March 7th, with the American Conference Tournament beginning on March 10th in Tampa, Florida.
Tulane will play 18 conference matchups -- nine at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse and nine on the road -- and take on every American team at least once. The schedule is jam-packed, with two games played every week. The only exceptions to this include a stretch from Saturday, January 23rd, to Saturday, January 30th, in which the team will not play a midweek game, and a second period from Wednesday, February 24th, to Wednesday, March 3rd, that does not feature a weekend contest.
The longest homestand for the Olive Green and Sky Blue covers three games in late February, while the team will not play more than two road games in a row. Interestingly, both the first and last regular season conference games for the team will take place on the road.
