Non-conference games tip off in just one month.
The Tulane Green Wave women's basketball program is just one month away from the start of its 2026-27 campaign, and on Wednesday, the program announced its highly-anticipated American Conference slate.
The Green Wave will face non-conference competition through the first two months of the season, with the opening game coming on November 2nd against the Texas Southern Tigers. Through the opening 12 games of the year, the team will play in two invitational tournaments and take on a wide range of opponents, from SEC foes to Sun Belt competitors.
The stakes get much higher in American Conference play, which begins on December 30th and runs through the first weekend in March. After that, Tulane will look to make some noise in the American Conference Tournament. The program finished with an 11-20 overall record last year, including a 6-12 mark in league play, but it's looking to make noteworthy improvements this year.
The Green Wave will play nine games at home and nine more on the road, facing each of its league foes at least once on the year. The majority of the program's games will be played on either Wednesday or Saturday, with a lone Sunday game coming in late February. Additionally, Tulane will have two weeks that feature no Wednesday matchups; there's a week-long gap in action from January 2nd through January 9th, and an additional gap that coincides with the Mardi Gras holiday from February 6th through February 13th.
