A handful of key additions have been made to Tulane's coaching staff, as several assistants follow Jon Sumrall to Florida.

Now that the Tulane Green Wave's 2025 football season has officially come to an end, things are starting to shape out regarding the program's future coaching staff.

Former head coach Jon Sumrall has officially departed for the Florida Gators after leading his Green Wave team to the end. As of Sunday, offensive coordinator Joe Craddock and defensive coordinator Greg Gasparato will join him in Gainesville.

Craddock and Sumrall have an established history. The duo has worked together as an HC-OC due for the past four seasons, working together to lead the Troy Trojans and then Tulane. Craddock will serve as the quarterbacks coach for the Gators moving forward. Likewise, Gasparato has stuck with Sumrall since their time together at Troy. He'll take over as the inside linebackers coach at Florida.

Additionally, reports indicate that special teams coordinator Johnathan Galante will continue his same role, but this time, in the Orange and Blue.

Will Hall now has quite a few significant roles to fill to start his tenure with the Green Wave, but he's already figured out a small piece of the puzzle. Co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Tayler Polk has been named the team's newest defensive coordinator. Polk has served in various defensive roles at both Troy and Central Arkansas, and he started his coaching career as a graduate assistant for Ole Miss in 2018.

Polk played an integral role in guiding the Tulane defense to new heights this year. The unit finished atop the American Conference with 36 sacks and 25 turnovers.

Additionally, Hall has retained some key coaches to his staff. On the defensive side, Bryan Berezowitz is staying as the safeties coach, and his twin brother Brayden will serve as the spears and nickels coach. Landius Wilkerson will continue to lead the defensive line into the 2026 season, while JJ McCleskey continues his role with the secondary as the cornerbacks coach. Their respective groups had impressive 2025 campaigns under their guidance.

Offensively, Brock Hays will stay to coach the program's running backs -- this is a key retention to the staff, as freshmen duo Javin Gordon and Jamauri McClure will continue to thrive under familiar leadership. Additionally, wide receivers coach Carter Sheridan is staying to continue his success within the program.

At this point, the biggest question mark surrounds the offensive coordinator position. Tulane had a strong attack both on the ground and through the air this year, and the ideal candidate will be able to move into the role easily and retain many of the talented student-athletes on offense.

More changes are expected on both ends in the coming weeks.
