The Green Wave saw four defenders and two offensive players recognized by PFN.
The preseason accolades continue to roll in for the Tulane Green Wave.
On Monday, six Green Wave standouts were named to 2026 Preseason American Conference Teams by Pro Football Network (PFN) -- four on the second team, and two more on the third team.
Kevin Adams III, Jamauri McClure, Chris Rodgers and Anthony Rogers were PFN Second Team selections. Gavin Marks and Jack Tchienchou were named to the PFN Third Team.
Adams played a big role in Tulane's strong secondary in 2025. The redshirt junior played in every game for the Olive Green and Sky Blue, totaling 53 tackles on the year. The defensive back also had two interceptions and three pass breakups.
McClure is the Green Wave offense's only second-team selection, but this honor is well earned after the talent he displayed last season. As a running back, he finished with two rushing touchdowns and 540 total yards, totaling well over 100 yards in two of the last four games of the year. He made a big mark despite only starting three contests, especially in the second half of the season, and is poised for a massive jump in 2026.
Senior linebacker Rodgers is looking to end his Tulane career with a bang. He started in 14 games last year with 80 tackles, seven tackles-for-loss, 2.5 sacks, one interception, one pass breakup and one forced fumble. The versatile defender did a bit of everything to help his team succeed and is expected to be a defensive anchor all season.
Meanwhile, Rogers is a newcomer to Uptown. The Nicholls State Colonels transfer brings an impressive resume from his 2025 season to Yulman Stadium: 55 tackles, three interceptions and five passes defended. Additionally, he's just a redshirt sophomore, so he's got plenty of years ahead of him to continue to grow.
Marks is also embarking on his first season with the Green Wave. The sophomore offensive lineman spent 2025 with the Mercer Bears, being named an FCS Freshman All-American and a member of the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team. He started 10 games and played 634 snaps, never giving up a sack.
Lastly, Tchienchou is largely regarded as one of the top defenders in the American Conference. The senior defensive back is coming off of an incredible season and is looking to leave his mark on New Orleans. Tchienchou finished 2025 with a team-high 83 tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss, one sack, two interceptions, three pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He was a First Team American All-Conference selection and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2025 American Conference Championship Game.
Tulane will open its 2026 season as it hits the road to take on the Duke Blue Devils. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, September 5th.
