After overcoming injury and a strong final season, the scoring guard is ready to test his versatile game against the NBA's best.

"What a journey it's been," former UCF guard Jaylin Sellers said in an Instagram post Sunday morning.

Sellers spent two seasons at UCF, leading the Big 12 in conference scoring for most of the 2023-2024 season and averaging a team-high 15.9 points per game while scoring a career-best 524 total points.

He joined the Knights after two years at Ball State, where he earned an All-MAC Third Team designation as a sophomore. His freshman season, he was an All-Freshman team performer.

Unfortunately, Sellers suffered a brutal back injury in the preseason of the 2024-2025 year, limiting him to just three appearances in his second year with UCF.

Sellers moved on to the Big East, joining the Providence Friars for his fifth and final collegiate season. The 6-foot-5 combo guard had a career-year, averaging 18.3 points per game on 47/42/86 shooting splits.

He was a consistent scoring force for the Friars, scoring 20 or more points in half of the games he played in. Sellers also shook off his prior injury, starting 33 games for Providence this season.

Sellers thanked each college program for his time there, giving his thoughts on each in his announcement.

"Ball State, thank you for giving me my first chance, believing in me early and helping me start this journey. UCF, thank you for helping me grow. Every challenge, every lesson, every moment that pushed me to become better on and off the court," Sellers said. "Providence, Friar Town, thank you for embracing me and my family from day one. The support, the energy and the amp, the belief. It meant everything to me. Through every high and every moment of adversity, y'all stood by us."

Sellers went on to thank his coaches, teammates, friends and family for being a part of his journey as he announced his decision to enter the upcoming draft.

As of now, Sellers' draft stock is limited, but his ability to score on all three levels, while providing athleticism and defensive ability projects him as a prototypical wing at the next level.

Sellers has also thrived in multiple different systems, showing his versatility and adaptability. He will be a name to keep an eye on as we progress through the pre-draft process.
