The UCF Knights will be well-represented in Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8 at Levi Stadium — the home of the San Francisco 49ers — with three alums appearing on the grand stage.
Super Bowl LX will feature a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. The Seahawks have two UCF alums, and the Patriots have one.
Offensive tackle Amari Kight and cornerback Shaquill Griffin are on the Seahawks' roster, and safety Richie Grant is on the Patriots.
Kight is a rookie and signed with the Seahawks after going undrafted in the 2025 NFL draft. He made his first career appearance in Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals in Seattle's 23-20 victory.
The UCF alum played four games for the Seahawks and contributed to all four wins in his snaps.
Kight played his last two years (2023 and 2024) of college football with the Knights after transferring from Alabama. He started 22 out of 25 games and became a steady presence for his position group.
Griffin is a ninth-year veteran in his second stint with Seattle after being drafted as the 90th pick in the third round. He's only played two games for the Seahawks this season — Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars — recording all of his seven solo tackles against the Jaguars.
The 6-foot defensive back was a dominant player on defense in 2016, his final year with the Knights. Griffin caught a team-high four interceptions, had a team-best 15 pass breakups and earned All-American Athletic Conference Second Team honors.
Alongside his four interceptions and 15 pass breakups, Griffin recorded 48 tackles (30 solo) and took one of his interceptions to the house.
Grant is a fifth-year player and earns a trip to the Super Bowl with the Patriots after spending his first four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons as their 40th pick in the second round. He only played one game for New England, Week 8 against the Cleveland Browns, where he recorded his lone tackle of the season.
Similar to Griffin, Grant was also a dominant defensive player in his final year in 2020. He led the team with 72 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Grant also earned a unanimous first-team all-conference selection, first-team all-conference accolades and an honorable mention All-America honors.
Whether the Seahawks or Patriots hoist the Lombardi Trophy on Feb. 8, a UCF alum will be a part of the players holding it up together while the colored confetti falls across Levi Stadium.
