UCF Knights coach Scott Frost says he's done talking about his tenure with Nebraska Corn huskers

UCF Knights coach Scott Frost is comfortable in his current position.

He has no desire to talk about the past, especially his time with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He reiterated that during a recent with Brett McMurphy of On3.com

"I don't want to talk about Nebraska at all,” Scott Frost said. “But what I will say there’s a freedom to allowing you to just try to excel and not worry about the outside noise because it could be crippling at times in certain places. It’s the exact opposite here (at UCF).”

The comment obviously drew some reaction from Nebraska fans and media. Steven Sipple of 93.7 Sports in Lincoln, Neb., had a segment about the story earlier this week. He said Frost was never in an ideal situation during his tenure with the Cornhuskers.

After turning UCF into a contender, Frost left for Nebraska. His stay was short-lived after an unsuccessful stint in Lincoln.

"He wasn't a good fit here," Sipple said. "You think he would be. The reason he wasn't a good fit was the last line in this story. He's talking about UCF. He says, "it's in a place where we, family, could still have some privacy and enjoy our lives a little bit.' Frosty likes his privacy so this wasn't a place he was going to get it ... I'm not casting aspersions on Frost. It's not his style."'

Most involved in the situation feels it's best for both sides to just wash their hands of it. On the same show, former Cornhuskers player Terrell Farley offered his thoughts. Farley was an All-American linebacker during the championship years when the program was coached by Tom Osborne.

Farley basically said he is tired about any remaining links between Frost and the Cornhuskers.

"I don't know what's it about," Farley said. "I'm tired of hearing about Nebraska and Scott Frost. I think both parties have probably moved on ... As just a regular person, I'm tired of hearing this bickering back and forth between people from the University or people who are associated with Nebraska with Scott Frost."
