The Montreal native brings veteran size to the Rebels’ frontcourt after providing efficient bench production and crucial rebounding during the Knights’ most electric victories in Big 12 play.

While the Knights have added significant talent through the portal, including the sibling pair of Arturo and Mister Dean, Lewis Walker and Cayden Vasko, they have also lost some pieces from last season.

Big man Jeremy Foumena is the latest deduction, announcing his transfer to UNLV.

The Knights have lost some significant bench production from last season, including Chris Johnson, who entered the portal early in the cycle.

The Knights are also awaiting the decision of Jordan Burks, who was one of UCF's go-to scoring options.

Foumena, who played at Rhode Island and Mississippi State before transferring to UCF last season, appeared in 26 games, averaging 3.5 points, and 2.3 rebounds.

The 6-foot-11 big man played spot minutes for head coach Johnny Dawkins and the Knights, usually filling in as the first big man off the bench.

Early in the season, while sophomore starting big man John Bol became acclimated to the Knights' system and a significant uptick in responsibility, Foumena played valuable minutes.

In late November, Foumena posted a season-high 18 points against Quinnipiac, leading the Knights in scoring and rebounding (7).

Despite playing just 18 minutes, Foumena was extremely active, making the most of his minutes and creating extra offensive opportunities.

The Montreal native kept up this efficient pace in his next two games, both UCF victories, totaling 16 points in just 23 minutes.

Against VMI, Foumena played just eight minutes, scoring eight points on 4-of-5 shooting.

In conference play, Foumena's opportunities and production took a slight dip, as the veteran big man totaled just one double-digit outing.

However, this 12-point performance came in one of the Knights' most electric victories of the season, helping UCF knock off Cincinnati 73-72.

Bol played just eight minutes in the Knights' win, opening the door for Foumena to play a season-high 30 minutes.

Foumena was great on the glass, snagging eight rebounds and keeping the Bearcats second-chance opportunities to a minimum.

With UNLV, Foumena will likely continue to operate in a bench role, joining a Rebels squad that is looking to rebuild after losing Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn, who averaged over 20 points per game to Texas Tech.

Foumena's size and experience at multiple different levels should serve him well at his new destination.
