Emerging as a dangerous dual-threat weapon, RJ Harvey’s elite elusiveness is rewriting Denver’s record books while providing a spark for Sean Payton’s offense heading into Week 5.

As UCF continues to produce more-and-more NFL talent, additional light is being shined on the program, with players like Atlanta Falcons defensive back Mike Hughes and Denver Broncos running back RJ Harvey making big plays at the next level early on this season.

For Harvey, who continues to take the reigns as head coach Sean Payton's go-to back, he has been a bright spot in a rather stagnant Broncos offense.

Despite playing in only three games, Harvey has recorded 20 receptions, including a ten-catch performance against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday evening.

This leads the team, with Jaylen Waddle representing the only other Bronco with double-digit receptions (16).

Harvey has done most of his damage after the catch, as his 193 yards after making the reception rank first in the entire NFL, and makes him the only running back within the top 5.

Adding 25 yards on the ground, Harvey was a perfect 10-of-10 on his targets against San Francisco, accumulating 68 yards and giving Denver significant yards after the catch.

This was the third-most receptions by a Denver running back in single-game franchise history.

Midway through the fourth quarter, Harvey slipped out to the left flat and caught a pass for a five-yard gain.

Four 49ers defenders descended on Harvey, but he was able to break a tackle and evade all four, breaking free and turning a check down into an 18-yard gain.

This elusiveness was what made Harvey such a special player with the Knights, and has earned him reps early into his NFL career with the Broncos.

Overall, it has been a quiet first three games for Harvey in the rushing department, but his added value as a pass-catcher gives Broncos head coach Sean Payton a dangerous option out of the backfield.

With Harvey's 67 catches through his first 20 NFL games, Harvey now sits alone atop the Broncos' franchise rankings, beating out Hall-of-Fame tailback Terrell Davis.

After a tough four-game stretch for Denver, the team travels to face the 0-4 Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

The Chargers have struggled as an overall defense this season, but have held up against running backs in the passing game.

After scoring 12 touchdowns as a rookie, Sunday marks a good opportunity for Harvey to find his first score of his second NFL season.

Denver faces off with the Chargers at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, as Harvey continues his strong year.
