The Huskies saw their full schedule released on Thursday morning.
On Thursday, the full UConn Huskies women's basketball schedule was released, just a few days after the release of the men's schedule. We already knew about the entirety of the non-conference schedules, but the Big East schedule releases completed them.
We already gave you our three biggest takeaways from the men's schedule release, but here's a look at what you need to know about the women's schedule.
1) Pre-holiday league matchups
The UConn men's Big East schedule doesn't start until right before the Christmas holiday, but the women's league schedule starts a month earlier. The Huskies will play against Seton Hall on Nov. 20, which is just a few days before Thanksgiving.
The women's schedule is interesting for a few reasons.
First, UConn will play a very strong Louisville team on Nov. 15 before opening up league play with Seton Hall. They'll then play national powers South Carolina (Nov. 24) and Duke (Nov. 28). With a schedule like this, there's no time to have any mental letdown around the holidays, and while the rest of the outside world will focus on these marquee non-league showdowns, UConn will have to also lock in for that Seton Hall contest.
The Huskies will also play a game on the day before Christmas Eve (Dec. 23) against Villanova. There will be intense build up for the non-league game with LSU on Dec. 20, but the Huskies can't afford to get caught looking past Creighton (Dec. 16) or experience an emotional lull against Villanova in that game. There's too much at stake in the league.
2) Odd sequencing
The men's Big East schedule never called for more than two consecutive home games or two consecutive road games. Well, the women's schedule is different. UConn will have three straight road games (Villanova, Xavier, DePaul) from Dec. 23-Jan. 3. That means the Huskies will spend the day before Christmas Eve on the road, as well as New Years Eve and post-New Years Day.

3) How many games at Gampel?
In disappointing turn for UConn students and Storrs residents, the Huskies only have five league games at Gampel Pavilion. They also only have two non-league games at Gampel, and one exhibition, making it a fairly light on-campus slate.
At least the Iowa game on Nov. 8 is a true home game. Regardless of how good the venue is in Hartford, there's nothing quite like a true on-campus environment. UConn won't have a lot of them.
