From Skyler Bell to Tarris Reed to the WNBA Finals, UConn connections are all over the professional ranks.

The UConn Huskies football team has played six games so far under new head coach Jason Candle (3-3). The UConn hockey programs have just started their regular seasons and the UConn men's and women's basketball teams just began their exhibition slates with wins over the Syracuse Orange at Mohegan Sun Arena.

But while the current Huskies teams are flying into action, this week was also a big one for a large group of UConn alums.

Let's take a look:

Skyler Bell, football

The wide receiver, who earned All-America status at UConn a season ago, suited up for the first time for the Buffalo Bills on Monday night in an overtime win against the Los Angeles Rams. Unfortunately for him, he did not have a catch, though he was targeted twice by quarterback Josh Allen, including once in the endzone.

With the Bills injury situation piling up, he should get more opportunities in the coming weeks. The fans in Storrs have seen his talent firsthand. It's only a matter of time before he records his first NFL catch.

Joe Fagnano, football

Fagnano didn't see action on Sunday in the Baltimore Ravens win over the Atlanta Falcons, but he was active for the first time because of the injury to Lamar Jackson. Tyler Huntley started the game and Fagnano was the official backup.

He led UConn to a 9-4 record a season ago, tossing 28 touchdowns against one interception.

Tarris Reed Jr., men's basketball

The center, who helped lead UConn to the national title game last season, is now a member of the San Antonio Spurs. He had 17 rebounds on Tuesday night in an exhibition and it looks like he's on his way to carving out a nice role for the reigning Western Conference champions.

Golden State Valkyries

The WNBA Finals begin on Oct. 17 between the No. 2 seed Golden State Valkyries and No. 4 Atlanta Dream.

Kaitlyn Chen, Tiffany Hayes, Kiah Stokes and Gabby Williams are all members of Golden State. The Valkyries vanquished the Dallas Wings in Round 1 and the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.

The Wings are led by former UConn stars Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd, though Fudd didn't play in the playoffs because of a knee injury.

The Dream defeated the New York Liberty in the semifinals. The Liberty are led by former Huskies star Breanna Stewart, who won four national titles during her time in Storrs.
