Speaking with Jeff Goodman of the 'Field of 68,' the Huskies leader spoke about his career.

On Monday night, the UConn men's basketball team will take on Michigan in the national championship game in Indianapolis.

The Huskies are looking for their third national title in four years under head coach Dan Hurley, but once the confetti stops falling, the craziness of the college basketball offseason will start.

For starters, the transfer portal opens up on Tuesday morning, and UConn will have to be hard at work trying to find replacements for graduating players and players who might leave early for the NBA.

Then, Hurley is going to have to continue to address questions about his future.

Speaking with the 'Field of 68s' Jeff Goodman on Sunday, Hurley got ahead of some of that, saying he's not interested in the vacant job at the University of North Carolina. However, he also revealed a few more interesting notes: He said he's not interested in a contract longer than five years anywhere, and he said that could consider becoming a head coach in the NBA in the future.

But in regards to UNC, he said "I'm a UConn coach to the end." He also reiterated "I'm a UConn coach, man," as he flashed a big smile.

--Tip-off of Monday's title game is slated for 8:50 p.m. ET. It will air nationally on CBS.

--Despite being injured in the national semifinal against Illinois, starting guard Solo Ball is expected to play. He suffered some sort of a foot sprain.

A Virginia native, the junior has started all 38 games this season for the Huskies. He's averaging 12.9 ppg and 1.6 assists, while also adding 3.1 rebounds. Ball led the Big East in three-point percentage last season (41.4) but regressed this year, hitting only 29.6 percent. His field goal percentage as a whole is also down to 39.2 percent from 43.9.

Ball has had an up-and-down tournament. He scored nine points in a Round 1 win over Furman but went scoreless in the Round of 32 against UCLA. He's had double figures in each game since (12, 10 and 13).

Even though he's playing, he can't be expected to be at 100 percent. If he's not, Alex Karaban and Malachi Smith are both options to step up their scoring. Karaban has just 14 points in the last two games combined.

--The college basketball world is still buzzing about what transpired at the end of Friday night's women's Final Four between Geno Auriemma and Dawn Staley. Diana Taurasi, who has a good relationship with both, chimed in on Saturday with her thoughts.
