Celebrating Senior Day on Saturday against Seton Hall, the University of Connecticut men's basketball program bestowed an incredible honor on senior Alex Karaban: Enshrining him on the Huskies of Honor, even before he graduates at the end of the academic year.

From Southborough, Mass., Karaban is a four-year player with the Huskies - a rarity in the era of the transfer portal and NIL.
Entering play on Saturday, he's averaging 13.0 ppg this season while shooting 47.9 percent from the floor and 39.5 percent from three-point range. In his career, he's a 12.4 ppg scorer who shoots 37.8 percent from three.
A two-time national champion, Karaban is the greatest winner in program history. He's looking to help the Huskies capture their third NCAA title in the last four years. He was a All-Big East selection last season and could earn himself some more hardware at the conclusion of this campaign.
The Huskies enter Saturday in first place in the Big East at 16-2 in the league (26-3 overall). They are just ahead of St. John's (22-5, 15-2) and Villanova (22-6, 13-4).
Seton Hall is 19-9 overall and 9-8 in the league. UConn beat Seton Hall earlier this season in a close game, overcoming a double-digit deficit to win.
The Huskies are battling for a No. 1 seed in the looming NCAA Tournament, but that will likely rest on how they perform in the Big East Tournament.
--The Connecticut women will finish out the regular season on Sunday night against St. John's at Madison Square Garden. A perfect 30-0, the Huskies are working toward their second consecutive national championship.
--Also, UConn football standouts Skyler Bell and Joe Fagnano are currently at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. While both players have a chance to get drafted, Bell is the better prospect, with some indications that he'll be selected on Day 3 of the draft (Rounds 4-7). Draft gurus Mel Kiper Jr. and Field Yates of ESPN are both high on his potential.
