The Huskies' field hockey, women's soccer and volleyball teams begin their seasons in August.

The calendar says it is spring, with summer soon to come. But suddenly, it feels like fall is in the air.

That's because UConn has released the schedules for three women's fall sports -- field hockey, soccer and volleyball. All three sports open regular-season play in August, with exhibitions schedules even earlier in the month.

The field hockey team is coming off an appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2025. They defeated Wake Forest 2-0 in the first round and lost to Harvard, the No. 3 seed, 1-0 in the second round. A win would have put the Huskies in the national semifinal game.

The field hockey team can look to build on that momentum in the 2026 season. Conference play begins in mid-September.

On the soccer pitch, the Huskies now have double-digit wins in three consecutive seasons. UConn begins the regular season on Aug. 13 at Stony Brook, following exhibition games on Aug. 5 at UMass and at home Aug. 9 against New Hampshire.

Conference play starts Sept. 30 at St. John's.

And on the volleyball court, the Huskies face an ambitious 31-match schedule that includes two road tournaments, two home tournaments and 18 conference matches.
