Sarah Strong will be back in the lineup on Wednesday.

The University of Connecticut women's basketball team is back in action on Wednesday night against Creighton at Gampel Pavilion.

The No. 1-ranked Huskies, now 25-0, are a perfect 14-0 in the Big East. The Bluejays are 12-12 and 8-7 in the conference.

On paper, this game should be a blowout, as UConn has won a this-century record 20 straight games by 25 points or more, and they already beat Creighton 95-54 earlier this season.

And on top of that, superstar Sarah Strong is going to return to the lineup for the Huskies after sitting out last weekend's win over Butler because of rest.

About Strong

In the drivers seat for the nation's Player of the Year award, Strong is arguably the most consistent player in the sport. Averaging 19.2 ppg and 8.0 rebounds, she's also dishing out 4.5 assists. The sophomore from North Carolina is also netting 3.4 steals while shooting 60.1 percent from the floor and 39.4 percent from three. She's a 90.9 percent free-throw shooter and pairs with Azzi Fudd to make up the most dynamic duo in the nation.

About the first matchup with Creighton

--UConn utilized a suffocating 33-7 second quarter to run away with this one back on Jan. 11.

--Strong had 18 points and 13 rebounds while also dishing out six assists.

--Fudd had 14 points and the Huskies hit 11 total threes in the win.

--On the negative side of things, Connecticut actually had a whopping 21 turnovers, but they were able to force 22.

--They out-rebounded Creighton 41-29.

Last time out

The Huskies beat Butler 80-48 and the following comes from our own Jami Leabow:

Coach Geno Auriemma gave star sophomore Sarah Strong the day off to rest on Saturday. She had never sat out a game in her college career.

Freshman standout Blanca Quinonez missed her fourth game in a row with a shoulder injury for No. 1 UConn.

Together, they average almost 30 points a game.

No Strong. No Quinonez.

No problem.

Veteran Azzi Fudd scored 17 points and added four assists and three steals to lead UConn (25-0, 14-0 Big East) past conference foe Butler 80-48 at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford on Saturday.

Also on campus

--The UConn men's basketball team is also in action on Wednesday as they travel to Butler. The Huskies are coming off their first Big East loss of the season on Friday night against St. John's.

--The NFL Draft is coming up in April and Huskies' All-American receiver Skyler Bell is already generating buzz from the likes of ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. and Field Yates.
