Six members of the UConn football team have been named 2025 HERO Sports Group of Five All-Americans.
Making the first team were wide receiver Skyler Bell and linebacker Bryun Parham.
Quarterback Joe Fagnano and tackle Ben Murawski received second-team honors, with running back Cam Edwards and kicker Chris Freeman placed on the third team.
All six players were key to UConn’s 9-3 record and berth in the Fenway Bowl on Dec. 27 against Army (6-6). It was the second consecutive 9-3 season for the Huskies, who will be going for a program-record 10th win in the bowl game in Boston.
Bell finished second in the nation in receptions (101), yards (1,278) and receiving touchdowns 13 in 2025.
He wasn’t far off from winning the nation’s triple crown of receiving. Just ahead of him in each category were Easton Messer of Florida Atlantic (104 receptions), Danny Scuderi of San Jose State (1,291 yards) and Camden Brown of Georgia Southern (14).
Parham was the Huskies’ leading tackler with 116 and had10.5 sacks. He also had an interception, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Fagnano threw for 3,448 yards, good for sixth in the nation, and tied for sixth in passing touchdowns with 28. He threw just one interception.
Murawski, the left tackle, was part of the offensive line that protected Fagnano, allowing only 1.25 sacks per game. The rushing attack averaged 159 yards per game.
Edwards finished with 1,132 yards and 14 touchdowns. Freeman hit 22 of 25 field-goal attempts, including 12 in a row to set a school record.

Bell also was named a second-team All-American by the 2025 Walter Camp Football Foundation on Friday.
The foundation, based in New Haven, Conn., honored All-Americans for the 136th time. It is named after Walter Camp, who coached at Yale from 1888-92 and has been nicknamed the "father of American football."
The voters were the 136 FBS head coaches and sports information directors, and they selected 25 players to the first team and 27 to the second team.
Who finished on the first team among wide receivers? The ones fans would expect: Jeremiah Smith of Ohio State and Makai Lemon of Southern California.
Smith, Bell and Lemon were the three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, which goes to the nation’s best receiver. That honor went to Lemon.
The other receiver to earn second-team honors was San Jose State’s Scudero, who announced Friday he will transfer.
