USC DT Abasiri Named Quarterfinalist for Prestigious Award

on Monday, it was announced that USC DT Jide Abasiri has been named a quarterfinalist for the LOTT IMPACT Trophy, awarded to the player who has the biggest impact on his team on and off the field. At 6-foot-5, 280, Abasiri has recorded 16 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and two quarterback hurries.

Since 2004, the first year the trophy was awarded, no USC players have won the trophy.  The trophy is named after former USC star and NFL Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott.
