Classic 1991 matchup between Washington, Nebraska highlighted by team's account

The Washington Huskies football team is set to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers at 5 p.m. PT on Saturday (Halloween) at 5 p.m. PT at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.

The matchup between the two sides has brought back clips and throwbacks to previous matchups.

One of those games highlighted was a game Sept. 21, 1991, between Nebraska and Washington, which the latter won 36-21.

At the time of the game, the Huskies ranked fourth in the country and the Cornhuskers ranked ninth.

The Huskies ended that season undefeated (12-0), No. 2 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll and No. 1 in the national coaches' poll. It's one of two claimed national championships for Washington. The Miami Hurricanes are the other team to claim the '91 title after ranking first in the AP poll.
