After losing against Stanford earlier this week, the No. 22 Washington women's basketball team continued their California swing on a positive note by beating Pacific 90-50 on Sunday afternoon.
The Huskies are now 10-2 while the Tigers dropped to 5-6.
Here's what you need to know:
Sienna Harvey led the way with 22 points for the Huskies, and she did it all in just 17 minutes of action. She was 9-of-11 from the floor and 2-of-4 from three-point range in the victory.
The Huskies got 48 points from the bench in all, and no starter played more than 23 minutes, getting some valuable rest before conference play resumes on Dec. 29.
--Three Huskies players scored in double-figures, with Sayvia Sellers (14) and Avery Howell (11) joining Harvey.
--Washington shot 53 percent from the floor and 48 percent from three (12-of-25), while Pacific shot 42 percent from the floor and 12 percent from three (2-of-17).
--Pacific attempted just four free-throws in the loss, while Washington attempted 13.
--The Huskies out-rebounded the Tigers 38-26 and had 20 assists to Pacific's 10.
--Washington forced 19 turnovers while only committing 11.
--The Huskies had 44 points in the paint compared to Pacific's 26.
Most things, honestly, but holding your opponent to 2-of-17 from three-point range is an incredible feat, and it showed nice diligence and toughness after a tough loss against the Cardinal.
The Huskies also remained disciplined defensively, only allowing the Tigers to take four foul shots.
Eleven turnovers is too many, and that's about the only complaint from this one.
Washington is 0-1 in Big 10 play after losing to Southern California earlier in December. They'll take on Northwestern on Dec. 29 before getting back-to-back games against ranked opponents. They'll take on No. 6 Michigan on New Years Day and No. 24 Michigan State on Jan. 8. Both games will be at home.
Coming off a disappointing loss against Seattle U, the Washington men's basketball team (7-4) will host San Diego on Monday night at Alaska Airlines Arena. Tip-off is 7 p.m. PT. That will be the final game before the holidays. Washington is 1-1 in league play and will resume that on Jan. 4 at Indiana.
