The Washington Huskies football team many several program representatives currently playing in the NFL, several of whom have been franchise and NFL corner stones for many years.

One of those players is defensive tackle Vita Vea, who could be looking for a change of scenery for the first time in his NFL career.

According to a report posted to "X" from NFL insider Adam Schefter, Vea is looking for a trade from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which has been his home for the entirety of his professional career.

Vea was originally selected by the Buccaneers with the 12th overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft.

In his eight-season career with Tampa Bay, Vea has earned several accolades. He was named to the Pro Bowl twice (2021, 2024) and won Super Bowl 50 in 2021 with the Bucs, which saw them beat the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9.

According to a report from the Athletic's Tim Nguyen, Vea, a Southern California native, is looking to return home and play for either a California-based team or the Las Vegas Raiders.

Vea has played 112 games and has started 107 with the Buccaneers. He's registered 256 total tackles (154 solo), including 48 tackles for loss, 35 sacks, nine passes defended, nine safeties, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. He also has caught a touchdown pass in his career.

Vea is in the final year of a four-year, $71 million contract but has a void clause in his contract that can allow him to re-sign for a fifth year.

Before Vea went pro, he enjoyed a decorated three-year career with Washington on Montlake.

Vea played with the Huskies from 2014-17. He redshirted his first year in college in '14 after enrolling in college late in the fall.

In his three full seasons with Washington, Vea played in 37 games and had 99 total tackles (65 solo), including 15 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, five passes defended and two forced fumbles.

Vea was an all-conference selection his final two college seasons. He was second-team All-Pac-12 honoree in 2016 and a first-team All-Pac-12 selection in 2017. He was also named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year in '17. The same year he was named the Defensive Player of the Year, he won the conference's Morris Trophy, which was awarded to the best offensive and defensive lineman in the Pac-12. Vea was the seventh defensive lineman to win the award.
