The Huskies released their official roster, which looked to settle whether or not Brazilian forward Wini Braga will be on the team's roster.

The Washington Huskies men's basketball team's recruiting this offseason had a lot of trips overseas.

The Huskies had nine open roster spots to fill this offseason to get to the capacity of 15 players.

Washington used three of those spots on international commitments: Croatian forward Boris Tisma, Australian guard Tristan Devers and Brazilian forward Wini Braga.

Tisma was ruled ineligible by the NCAA under a new guidance prohibiting players who received compensation "above necessary expenses." Tisma is 24-years-old and has played in professional leagues in multiple countries in Europe since he was a teenager.

In Tisma's stead, the Huskies landed a commitment from Nevada Wolfpack transfer and fifth-year point guard Tayshawn Comer.

Comer made up the 15th spot on Washington's roster. He averaged 11 points on 38.3% shooting from the floor (35.1% from 3-point range) in 37 games (36 starts) with Nevada last season. He also averaged 3.6 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game.

There were additional questions on the eligibility of another one of the Huskies' international signings, Braga.

Braga's eligibility situation differed from Devers, who was ruled eligible, and Tisma's.

The Brazilian forward didn't have the lengthy professional career that Tisma did, and didn't play professionally under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) like Devers did in the National Basketball League in Australia.

Braga, who played in Novo Basquete Brasil, worked under his native country's General Labor Laws.

There were rumored issues with getting Braga enrolled at UW, but those issues have apparently been resolved.

According to the official roster released by Washington on Friday, Braga is listed on the team's roster and a UW spokesperson stated Braga has been admitted to the school and will be "arriving on campus shortly."

Braga was shown in a video earlier this summer on campus working with several other players on the team, including third-year center Lathan Sommerville.

Braga, listed at 6-foot-9, averaged 10.4 points in 19.9 minutes per contest on 51.3% shooting from the floor (30% from 3-point range) across 45 games with NBB side Minas last season. He also averaged 6.2 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, 1.1 assists and one steal per game.

Braga's skillset has drawn comparisons to former UW forward Hannes Steinbach, who led the team in rebounding and scoring last season en route to earning third-team All-Big Ten honors. He co-led the nation in double-doubles and parlayed that success into being a first-round draft pick by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2026 NBA Draft.
